Visiting Baltimore

Garrett and I decided after a long day of working on the house that we needed a date night. Garrett did some research on line (now that we have the Internet back) and found this great place in Baltimore, made reservations and said we needed to be out the door by four.
Having never been outside the area, we weren't sure how far Baltimore was from home, so we wanted to have plenty of time. As it turns out, Baltimore is only 20-30 minutes from us, so the commute was not bad at all and we had some extra time to see a small part of the city. It is beautiful.
Being by the water made it feel a bit more like Seattle and we both felt a sudden rush of nostalgia come over us. We took a long walk around the marina, saw some trapeze artists (believe it or not they offer private lessons right on the water), watched some beach volleyball and then headed off to dinner.
I must say, this dinner was THE BEST dinner I have had in a LONG time! I ordered shrimp stuffed Salmon with Brie, fresh vegetables and wild rice. Garrett ordered a more Cajun meal of rock fish with spiced shrimp stew. It was WONDERFUL food and a very needed night out. Needless to say, we will be visiting Baltimore again! A definate must see for family and friends.

  1. Next time you're here, come say hi - Colter and Jordana live just across the street from us. It looks like you explored around the inner harbor - we all live up by the Hopkins campus (another great part of the city).
