Ok- so Garrett and I took on the very difficult job of reuphostering a chair a few months ago and I have completely fallen in love with it (Garrett's pretty pleased as well)! It was handed down to us by family and was covered in a classic 70's fabric that you could barely cut through with a chain saw! It was the coolest orange and yellow color, but we just aren't big orange and yellow furniture people- so we found some new fabric and started destruction!

As we began to attach the new fabric and rebuild, the project moved into the living room and began to take over the house. It lasted a few days and with staple guns and nails being used- safety was priority! Garrett even broke out his safety glasses. Anyone who knows me, has a very clear idea of the hazards that this kind of a project may hold for an accident prone person like myself! I can't tell you how many staples I stepped on and close calls I made with that staple gun.

The process was a lot harder than we thought it would be going into it, but then again, that is just how we do things. We removed one stubborn peice at a time and copied the layout of each peice onto our new fabric, making a pattern of sorts. There was stuff everywhere- nails, padding, fabric, stuff we couldn't even identify-
Dudley had no idea what was going on, but he felt the need to be within a few feet of one of us at all times. Please note in the picture below the mass amounts of support that Dudley was contributing!
With all the work done and the mess cleaned up- we were quite proud of the chair we had created. Not only is all the fabric still in place, all these months later, but it is actually quite a comfy little chair! A perfect addition to our nursery and the first of many future project that we will take on! Doesn't it look great!
