So I woke up this morning, fed myself and the dog and logged onto the computer. Prior to checking the blog I went onto http://www.pandora.com/, (a great website for all kinds of music) and low and behold, Garrett had added a station he titled "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". HILARIOUS!!!!
It didn't take long until I was (and still am) bopping my head to Chicago, Heart, Blondie, Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, and the Go-Go's (the list could go on forever). Memories from Jr High and High School are rushing back to me. Dudley is just staring at me with his head tilted looking at me like I'm insane (can't say I blame him).
Ahhhhh the 80's, the era we all wish we could forget..... alternating colored socks, pegging pants, neon colors, ripped t-shirts, acid wash jeans, hammer pants and then- the almighty tribute to the 80's era- the hair. Endless ratting, the ceiling high bangs, the mullet, and of course, none of us could have done it without Aqua Net. It all made this vital part of America's history worth living through. Here's to hoping we never go that far again!

Fun fact: Mr. Pink Shirt in the picture above is now a crime fighting police officer for our department! Dont' worry- we've fixed the hair!
