The judge that heard our case on the 31st of July never signed the original documents prior to court closure. The new judge assigned, due to court closure, wants to re-hear the case.
The new court date is the 17th of October. If that judge finds no errors in any of the court documentation, the birth certificates will be issued two weeks later. We will not be given a travel date until our agencies US office receives the birth certificates.
We won't be traveling until mid to late November.
Another month of waiting.
There are no words.
Beth I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Sending hugs and your right there just are no words.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Beth. I just can't even imagine. I know it won't make you feel any better, but my birthday is the 17th, and I promise to send my birthday wish your way. Many hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I am so sorry. Big fat hug. It seems you won't spend another Christmas without them though right? Just trying to look on the bright side.
ReplyDeleteOh I am so so sorry to hear this news. (((hugs))))

Funny, October 17 is also my birthday and I too will set my wishes your way. Also, it will be easy to remember to pray for you that day! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteI accidentally found myself here after googling CHSFS.
ReplyDeleteWe adopted our daughter Maggie through CHSFS's WIC program in January of 2007. We had expected to travel to China in November of 2006 to pick her up, but we were pushed back 2 months. My heart breaks for you and your family. This will be the longest month of your life, guaranteed, but once you get your girls home and some time has passed, you'll look back and say "that wasn't so bad". You are not alone in this, and we all make it through it, eventually.
OK, enough pep talks from strangers.
Take care,
Mary
My heart breaks for you. I will continue to pray. Sending hugs to you both.
ReplyDeleteI can only hope that things move quickly for you guys. I don't know you, but we are so excited that you will be there soon to bring your girls home! You inspire us!
ReplyDeleteI was so sorry to read this on the forum. I am sad that your kid have to wait this much longer to have the love and security they need from their mom and dad. It's so hard.
ReplyDeletebeth, keith and i are saying a special prayer for your girls tonight ~ praying that someone from the forum has jumped up and offered to get a hug and some pics to your darlings for you before you get there. we'll keep watching to see your results after the 17th... prayers for you, too.
