We have officially been approved as adoptive parents by CHSFS! Our paperwork has gone through and we have received all of our final dossier paperwork! These final papers include Power of Attorney, our family letter to the Ethiopian government, and other miscellaneous legal documents.
All the dossier paperwork we could do in advance, has been done, and now all we need to do is notarize and certify these new documents that we have. I have scheduled an appointment with a notary for tomorrow and Garrett and I are really hoping to get down to Sacramento on Friday for all the paperwork that needs State Certification.
Once we have completed all the stamping and signing we have to do, we Fed Ex our completed documents into CHSFS and are placed on the waiting list! This means we could be waiting in less than a week! All of these months of planning, overtime, and organizing documents have finally led to this point!
I feel a little relieved to be honest. It feels good to know that we have a few months to recoup, enjoy our last few month in California and prepare for all the changes that are coming. We are so excited!
